The Potomac Riverboat Company continues to offer favorite cruises for your groups of 20 or more. Our Washington Monuments Cruise, the Alexandria Seaport Cruise, the George Washington’s Mount Vernon by Water, the Water Taxi, the Canine and Pirate Cruises are all available at discounted rates. But, this year we would like to work with you to tailor the tour to be just what you need to make your travels to the Alexandria area a perfect fit…simply by adding a visit to a restaurant, a museum, or perhaps a walk with our “friendly” local ghosts.

Washington Monuments - Behold the splendor of America's monuments and the city of Washington aboard a narrated cruise on the Potomac River. Groups can purchase one-way or roundtrip tickets. Depart from the quaint and historic seaport of Old Town Alexandria with its cobblestone streets or world-famous Georgetown with its upscale shops, pubs, and restaurants. Stopovers are allowed with roundtrip tickets, so there is time to shop, dine, sightsee or attend a cultural event in either Alexandria or Georgetown, then board a later cruise returning to the original departure point. Sunset, evening and moonlight tours of the illuminated monuments are especially popular.

Alexandria Seaport Cruise - America's history comes alive with a 40-minute, narrated sightseeing tour aboard the Admiral Tilp. The Admiral Tilp cruises Alexandria's historic, colorful and picturesque waterfront for an up-close look at this distinctive city. Narration turns back the pages of time with history, legend, and endearing folklore.

George Washington’s Mount Vernon by Water - Cruise the Potomac River aboard the Miss Christin from Old Town Alexandria or National Harbor to George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens, home of America’s first President, George Washington. Price includes admission fee to the estate; grounds and shops. Cruise is roundtrip or may be taken one-way from either Alexandria or National Harbor.

Water Taxi – Avoid the traffic by riding the Water Taxi and relax on a 20 minute one way trip. The Alexandria-National harbor Water Taxi connects Old Town Alexandria, Virginia to the National Harbor, Maryland.

Pirates Cruise – During this 40 – minute cruise, children of all ages will be entertained with music and tales of piracy on the Potomac River. The cruise also features Alexandria’s historic seaport and its landmarks.

Canine Cruise – Potomac Riverboat Company offers this fun and unique cruise for our four legged friends and their owners. A howling experience for all!

Gadsby’s Experience – Enjoy a full Gadsby’s Experience beginning with a tour of the Gadsby’s Tavern Museum then followed by lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch at the historic Gadsby’s Tavern. Also available are the partial experiences ~ a tour of the museum with cider and gingerbread or ~ a meal at Gadsby’s Tavern.

Historic Walking Tour or a Ghostly Tour of Alexandria – Combine any of your boat tours with a historic walking tour of Alexandria. Your group will be led by a costumed guide who will tell you stories of the delightful district of Old Town. If you prefer an evening romp, the guides will be glad to entertain you with legends, unsolved mysteries and tales of angry ghosts looking for revenge.

Restaurant Crawl – This tour will allows your group to explore parts of the historic and architecturally unique town of Alexandria while sampling specially made dishes at some of its locally owned and operated restaurants.

Lunch or Dinner at The Fish Market or Bugsy’s Pizza Restaurant - The Fish Market and Bugsy’s are two of Alexandria’s favorite restaurants. We encourage you to enjoy lunch or dinner at one of these establishments or perhaps celebrate a birthday party before embarking on a cruise on the Potomac.
